Policy Steering Committee

The MAX Policy Steering Committee (PSC) is the governing body for the program and acts in an advisory capacity to the Torrance City Council that is defined by the inter-agency agreement among the MAX member agencies. The Committee is comprised of elected officials from each participant jurisdiction. The Committee has responsibility for setting policy in such areas as:

  1. Approving the award of contracts and applications for funding.
  2. Establishing routes, fares, and adopting an annual budget.
  3. Appointing a representative to the MAX Staff Task Force.

The committee meets bi-monthly (February, April, June, August, October and December) on the first Monday of the first full week at 5 p.m.
